Served with a generous helping of discord and distortion, soloist Indoor Foxes’ ‘Peach Stone’ holds a vibrant intricacy that acts as a separation from the wider pop-rock crowd. Combatting tones of flange and fuzz against a beautifully picked counterpart on the guitars establish the track’s buoyancy, grounded by the vocals that combine the Celtic romanticism of Arab Strap’s Aidan Moffatt, the tones of Nico and the power of PJ Harvey to wonderful effect.
This is a track of real aptitude that I’m ashamed to say I’m over a month late to, but Indoor Foxes is certainly an artist to keep in the periphery come the new year.
